Putting My Experience to Work
WHERE I COME FROM
Laura Novosad is running for the Florida House of Representatives in District 80. Laura has worked with the Democratic Woman’s Club of Hendry County as a founding member and President. She is a lifelong Democrat and a party donor. Laura has been married for 38 years to her loving husband, Richard Novosad and together they have two children.
Laura has lived in Florida House District 80 for the last 22 years, both in Naples and now in La Belle. This time provides Laura with a variety of civic and cultural experiences within several different local communities in our state. Coupled with the experiences particular to being a Floridian, such as growing up, going to school, working, raising a family and living in Florida full time for 57 years, Laura draws her enthusiasm and love of democracy from her family and has a strong desire to protect this great state. Laura was strongly influenced by her uncle, Richard Pettigrew of Miami-Dade County, who served both as Speaker of the Florida House, and as a State Senator. Now as a passionately engaged member of the Democratic Party in House District 80, Laura is actively working for change and working to strengthen her community, by electing Democrats across the ticket.
